About me
Hi, I’m Mara
I’ve always believed there is something extraordinary about the way we see the world. Two people can experience the very same moment and walk away remembering entirely different things. Perhaps that’s what has always fascinated me about photography: the ability to see beyond what is immediately in front of us and preserve something that might otherwise be forgotten.
My love for photography began long before I ever considered making it part of my professional life. I grew up in Romania, and I still remember my first camera during my college years. What started as a fascination with images gradually became a very personal way of experiencing the world.
I found myself drawn to beautiful places, interesting faces, unexpected details, and those fleeting moments that make you wish time would slow down, even if only for a second.
Years later, life brought me across the ocean to South Florida, where I built a new chapter of my life. Through the changes, discoveries, and experiences along the way, my camera remained a familiar companion. Photography became more than an interest. It became a way of expressing the things that words sometimes cannot quite describe.
The beauty of a moment. The character of a place. The feeling of being there.
The beauty of being yourself
Of everything that finds its way in front of my camera, people fascinate me most.
We move through life carrying so many identities. We are professionals, parents, partners, entrepreneurs, leaders. We become accustomed to the roles we play and the faces we present to the world.
Yet behind those familiar versions of ourselves lies something wonderfully individual.
A certain confidence. An unexpected softness. A playful spirit. A strength that doesn’t need to announce itself. The unmistakable expression that appears when someone feels completely at ease.
Those are the moments I love discovering.
I believe a beautiful portrait should reveal more than someone’s appearance. It should offer a glimpse of their personality, their character, perhaps even a side of themselves they rarely have the opportunity to see.
And that begins long before I press the shutter. It begins with connection.
I love getting to know the people I photograph. I enjoy conversation, laughter, and the little exchanges that turn an unfamiliar experience into something comfortable and enjoyable.
I’ll offer direction, notice the details, and help you feel confident in front of the camera. But I’ll also leave room for spontaneity, because some of the most beautiful photographs happen when we stop thinking about being photographed.
My favorite moment is when someone looks at an image and recognizes themselves—not simply as they appear every day, but as they truly are.
There you are.
The stories I love to tell
Photography allows me to move between worlds, each with its own beauty, energy, and character.
The anticipation and emotion of a wedding. The warmth and wonderful unpredictability of family life. The personality behind a brand. The confidence of a professional portrait. The atmosphere and human connections that bring a corporate event to life.
Every assignment offers something different to discover.
And while the setting may change, my approach remains the same: to create imagery that feels natural, thoughtful, and beautifully composed without losing the individuality of the people or the spirit of the occasion.
I love photographs that have presence. Images that draw you in, invite you to look a little longer, and leave you with something more than a beautiful composition.
I want my photographs to have a feeling you can return to.
A little more about me
Away from the camera, life is rarely quiet.
I love being active, working out, discovering new places, and filling my days with things that inspire or challenge me. Art and painting are also part of that, giving me another creative outlet and a diffrent way of looking at the world. My husband, my family, and my little dog are at the heart of my world.
I’m naturally curious, endlessly energetic, and admittedly a bit of a workaholic. I genuinely cannot remember the last time I said, “I’m bored.”
There is always something to discover, something to create, somewhere to go. And, quite often, something worth photographing along the way.
The way I work
I’ve always believed that the quality of what we create says something about the care we put into it. For me, photography is as much about the experience as it is about the final image.
I value genuine relationships, thoughtful communication, attention to detail, and the trust someone places in me when they invite me to photograph an important part of their life. Whether I’m photographing a single object, creating a professional portrait, documenting a corporate celebration, or capturing one of the most meaningful days in someone’s life, I bring the same dedication to every assignment.
I believe in quality over quantity, in keeping my word, and in giving every project the attention it deserves.
My style is intentional yet natural, polished yet personal. I appreciate beautiful composition, but never at the expense of authenticity. I want every photograph to reflect not only what was in front of my camera, but something of the feeling, character, and individuality that made it worth photographing.
Let’s create something meaningful
I love working with people who appreciate beautiful imagery but also understand the meaning behind it. People celebrating a new chapter, building something they’re proud of, gathering the people they love, or simply wanting to see themselves in a different light.
You don’t need to know how to pose or have everything perfectly planned. Bring your personality, your ideas, your excitement, and whatever makes this moment important to you. I’ll bring my perspective, my creativity, and my commitment to making the experience as memorable as the photographs themselves.
Because the images we treasure most are rarely just about how something looked.
They’re about everything that made it worth remembering.
With love for the art and care for every detail,
Mara
